Tip Thursday #10

Since we missed our tip last week, let's talk about what NOT to do (like skipping a week of #TipThursday!) when interviewing! 🙅‍♀️

When you realize a position might not be for you during a conversation, let the other person know! Something like "Thank you for your time and sharing more about the role with me, but I don't think this is a fit for me or what I'm looking for." This shows consideration for their times and yours.

What not to do in this case is just hang up without saying anything, abruptly ending the call. This is rude and may leave the person with a negative impression of you.

You never know where the future may lead, which includes potentially looking at a different position with the company. This simple lack of communication could disqualify you from opportunities.

The same goes for any other point in the interview process. If you decide you're no longer interested or found another job, don't string them along or ghost them. Be as respectful as you'd like to be treated!

Agree? 🙋‍♂️
